And Mr. Dutton even considers that some of the patterns found in Devon's fields are alien life forms misunderstood attempts at communication - so there is one of my many questions answered. Roy said that there is evidence that we are being visited all of the time by very advanced devices and there is an intelligence very much behind it. It is well and truly obvious in his view that this is exploration by extra-terrestrials and the cropcircle phenomenon is part of that. "Cropcircles are being intelligently produced by a technology not available on Earth."
Beyond Boundaries has been using Roy's astronautical graphs on nightwatches for three years now noting a very high degree of accuracy in his predictions of when and where a sighting of craft scout vehicles from orbiting spacecraft would be most likely to happen. The nights we have been watching at the proper times in the proper areas of the world strange lights have been recorded and on a hillside in England with Colin Andrews present we actually had a very good sighting of the golden balls that usually precede a cropcircle formation - which they did. The next morning in the field below was the one called the CBS Eye.

AN ASTRONAUTICAL EXPLANATION FOR UFO AND CROPCIRCLE EVENTS - GUIDELINE NOTES FOR JOURNALISTS - JULY 1994 Important Preface: The information given below stems from scientific investigations carried out by a professional, charteredk aerospace engineer. The information is given in trust, with the assumption that it will not be deliberately distorted or misinterpreted. T. R. Dutton, CEng., MIMechE, MRAeS
1) 27 years study of UFO Close Encounter (CE) events has revealed that CE activity is satisfactorily explained as an important element of an astronautical surveillance of Earth by technologically-advanced spacecraft. There are clear indications that the surveillance is being carried out by vehicles from extraterrestrial sources.
2) The adopted strategy seems to involve the frequent injections of space vehicles into partial orbits of our planet and facilitates: a) constant monitoring of human developments (especially in areas of historical interest); b) investigation of observed changes by surface-exploration (scout) vehicles; c) investigation of biological, possibly human, specimens.
3) The CE activity appears to be programmed (as might be expected). This facilitates, with precise timing, the issue and retrieval of scout vehicles by the 'orbiting' spacecraft. The discoveries were made because such programming could be recognised from synthesis of the century-long worldwide data sample used for the initial investigation.
4) Navigational links with the stars, with the terminator and with key points on the Earth's equator have been discovered. Given that these rules continue to be followed, they facilitate the creation of a CE event timetable for any given location on Earth. It seems that CE events of the transient kind usually occur soon after delivery from space and just prior to departure for a rendezvous in space.
5) The evidence suggests that one orbiter with the ability to change the inclination of its chosen orbit, or two orbiters operating on separate tracks, are employed for the issue and retrieval of scout vehicles. The period of amnesia reported by some CE witnesses has been found to correspond to the timings of and the time span between two predicted consecutive passes over the areas involved. This brings into the realms of reasonable possibility the often alleged abductions by ETs of such witnesses during the reported CEs.
6) To date, only 3 cropcircles are known to have been witnessed during the process of formation; and in no case was an aerial device observed during the rapid flattening of the crop. However, absence of a visual connection does not necessarily imply absence of an aerial device. This sample of three cases was too small for meaningful assessment by the UFO program. However, by adding events from Dr. Meaden's first book (Ref 1), which were claimed therin to be linked to cropcircle formation, the 'White Crow' noise event and 2 others from Mr. Colin Andrews, the sample size was increased to 21 events, for which locations, dates and times were known.
7) When the above sample was processed by the UFO program, the events were shown to be linked to the stars and the terminator in exactly the same manner as CE events. The 3 witnessed cropcircle events merged so effectively with the rest of the data that there seems to be no reason to doubt that the cropcircle and CE phenomena are produced by the same astronautical activity.
8) The observation in (7) above, supports the similarity noted in the choice of favoured localities for CE and cropcircle activities within the U.K.: namely, areas of historical interest where new developments have occurred or are taking shape.
