We arrived in Wiltshire, finally, after a couple of days acting like tourists in London, while waiting for our research director, Ruben Uriarte, to arrive at Heathrow Airport. Joe, Frank and I were itching to get out into the wheat to inspect the recent formation trauma in the fields.
Driving into Wiltshire we first checked in at the Barge Inn - not for
rooms but for information. This is the international gathering place for
croppies and the first place usually that news of new formations arrives
- somehow. The subject of our first story soon emerges amidst the sea
of international faces - as faces of our friends begin to appear and the
hugs and hellos ensue and faces of new friends begin to merge. The faces
are as interesting as the formations, for the stories behind them are
quite fascinating.
Ruben, isn't it neat that this year we are going to get to do just what
we have always wanted to do on a circles expedition - no group to take
care of, no castles to visit, no worries about people being comfortable
- We are free to explore!!! And, we can spend as much time at the Barge
Inn as we want!
No Ruben! Wait! Don't catch me like this!
It was "Faces in the Formations," I said would be our documentary for this season
This is what I would like to do, Ruben - just sprawl out in the fields
and not worry about what people will think!
Joe, I know expert dowsers can use coat hangers just as well as dowsing
rods - and get the same results. Just wait until you see our new Beyond
Boundaries catalog - of products tested on our expeditions and which worked
so well for us that we gave them our own stamp of approval. Yes, dowsing
rods are one of the items - our catalog will be out soon - and items featured
are reasonably priced. We are testing walkie talkies and night vision
equipment on this expedition. Joe, why is one of your rods pointing out
to the side and the other straight out in front of you?
Who is this man and what is he using? Hi - your name is Chris? You made
this device for testing electromagnetic fields? And it is registering
something now - oh the powerlines over there? But you don't understand
the strange noise it is making? And you are an engineer formerly with
BBC? Please keep in touch Chris and let us know what develops with your
research.
Let's see what Frank is doing over here - What a good photo he makes
right in front of Silbury Hill. The Wiltshire formations are usually within
a 40 mile radius of Stonehenge and near Silbury Hill, Europe's largest
manmade mound. Maybe they will find out what is buried there someday.
