13 Jan: Expedition Group Met at Miami airport for Trans Brasil flight to Sao Paulo. Near catastrophe occurred when Eddie Melvin arrived Miami less than 10 minutes before final boarding call. Weather problems had delayed his connecting flight in Houston.
14 Jan: Arrived Sao Paulo in Southern Brazil, state of Sao Paulo, at 8:00 am. Group was met in baggage claim by Brazilian researchers Ricardo Varela, an engineer at the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, (Brazilian Space Research working with NASA) and Daniel Dzegar of magazine AMALUZ. Itinerary was quickly adjusted there to include that day in that city meeting with a metaphysical UFO contactee group that afternoon and spending the night in a Sao Paulo hotel. The next day would be spent in Sao Jose Do Campos region with Ricardo and his group.
The team loaded luggage into a VW Kombi rented van and followed Daniel's car on a wild drive through the mad city of Sao Paulo. What an adventure! Daniel sent our first of many interpreter guides to follow on the trip, Flavio, who drove the team to the meeting place of the ATALANTA, where the president, Dr. Tadeusz S. de Gromoboy Dabrowicki, was expecting members of the expedition group to address his assembly of more than 75 member: Many members of this group were receiving spiritual telepathic messages they said were channeled to them by ETs. When our group related stories future events gathered from contactees met on former Beyond Boundaries expeditions to Mexico, Costa Rica, Scotland and other countries this group responded with "Yes, we have received the same prophecies. Give us dates and times of the cataclysmic events so we can prepare to help others." And our team responded with the fact that no dates and times were given by the other contactees - only a time period of possibly 3 years from 1997. The evening was finished by several of the group wanting to spend more time in a small restaurant near the hotel. (Much more of this interaction will be reported in Issue 10 by Eddie Melvin and author, Mia Adams, members of this Beyond Boundaries Brazil primary team).
15 Jan: Flavio, the guide sent by Daniel, had agreed to travel with us to Jose Do Campos today. He was the first of many of our so called "angels of mercy" to follow. Primary team means this is our first time in this country to conduct information sharing and UFO phenomena research and these guides were essential to reducing our downtime to a minimum in conducting the research. So, we loaded the luggage into the Kombi and drove to Sao Jose do Campos to the gate of the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, where we called Ricardo as pre arranged. Ricardo took us out to the countryside where a group of local researchers had experienced many good sightings. The night was spent in a nice little hotel in the city.
Area Research Insights: The expedition group joined with the local group in a circle of information sharing. On the ride back to the hotel Ricardo told us of spiritual beliefs associated connected with ET phenomenon and also described a little of his work at the Space Institute. His job is to program the PCs associated with the payloads of the balloons sent up to observe and measure gamma rays associated with the photon belt. He has also traveled back and forth to NASA in Houston because some of this research is in association with NASA projects. - Interesting? Ricardo has offered to share some of his scientific knowledge and esoterical philosophies in future issues of the Beyond Boundaries newsletter!
16 Jan: Back to the Sao Paulo Airport for our flight to Belo Horizonte where we have 5 days to spend in the region. Our UFO Researcher contact for this area is Aloysio Carvalho and his CIPFANI group. We picked up our 2nd Kombi of the trip at the airport after being met and much assisted by our new friend Aloysio who was also our Portuguese interpreter for this portion of our investigation. Aloysio took us to our downtown hotel location where we spent 3 of the 5 nights allotted for this area of Brazil.
17 Jan: Aloysio spent the day with us taking us around the surrounding countryside to the areas of many sightings of the chupa chupa, not the creature but the light that sucks people up into the craft but many times would miss and only injure them in some way. People around the area had heard of many experiences with this chupa chupa and were intensively fearful of this phenomenon much mentioned in Bob Pratt's book (ISBN 1-881852-14-8): UFO Danger Zone. Some of our members were interested in seeing a local cave while the rest of us picked and ate mangos from a nearby tree while enjoying its shade.
We soon discovered that one specific area was very rich in crystal deposits and it is a popular belief that ETs come to mine the crystals. This is the state of Minas Gerais where the Varginha incident took place. Minas Gerais is rich in many precious and semi precious stones and Minas means mines. We chose not to research this case because of the time elapsed and the possible embellishment of the accounts. Aloysio told us it was very dangerous in this area after dark and that we should be back in the city early, advice which we followed.
18 Jan: We decided to change hotels and move to the countryside we always love much better than the city life. Some of the expedition group opted for free time in the city while the rest went out on our own to search for a hotel spending a day without Aloysio who needed some time with his girlfriend. The day was spent case working driving through the tiny villages until we a mirage appeared which included the perfect little tiny hotel in Santa Luzia. Reservations were made as best we could for the group the next day and off we went to look for people with experiences they would tell us about. And everyone we asked along the way had something to tell us. Spanish helps a great deal in communication with Portuguese speakers. We saw a one hitchhaker by the side of the road and were able to entice into our "web", rather our van, for our intense questions about ovnis. Today we are on our own without Aloysio and our Portuguese has improved a little but obviously frightened the poor hitchhiker soon asked to be let out of our van and left out in the countryside far short of the destination he first mentioned to us. By evening we returned to the hotel and the rest of our group.
Professor Hulvio, a PhD Psychologist from a local university and an elder researcher with many years of intensive and carefully documented work in the field of UFO Phenomena in Brazil, came to our hotel to present a synopsis of his research. What a delightful and informative evening we had with the much respected Prof. Hulvio in Belo Horizonte.
19 Jan: We loaded up the luggage, had a little trouble with the parking lot attendant who charged us 3 times the quoted price, left for Santa Luzia. Checked into the tiny hotel by 10am, then went out for field research into the countryside.We drove on the tiny little, muddy roads over hills glistening with crystals used as gravel to improve the roads. We made very slow process through the areas because of driving hazards caused by these crystals all over the hills and the roads. Why? Because everytime the Kombi would get above first gear someone would spot another beautiful crystal glistening like a diamond in the hot sun. We interviewed farmworkers, people in the tiny little bars along the way, persons walking along the road, made many new friends and nightwatched at the top of one of the hills until far after dark? Danger? We forgot all about the warning. The sky was beautiful but we spied nothing unidentified.
20 Jan: It was more of the same type field research all day. One of the group had an expectation of a little boy walking along the road coming to us as our guide for the day - it happened! Our van was parked, we were all working furiously up and down the road picking up crystals when we first saw him - walking right toward us. He first told us in Portuguese that he knew a place where there were many big crystals and pointed to a hillside. We tried to entice him into the van but he insisted on walking ahead of us leading the way. Finally he decided to get in the front seat with this bunch of crazy talking people - the kid had hardly ever been to the nearest village much less any other country but was the wisest little kid imagineable. He took us to where they were getting the crystal rich gravel for the road and the screams of awe should have frightened him away from us immediately as we began digging in the dirt of the holes left from the gravel extraction. The boy cut his hand trying to help us, a bandaid was mentioned but never found in our purses or pockets, and an alcohol wipe was given to him instead to clean the wound. He threw the wrapper on the ground as he held the towelette to the wound hollering "No Americano bandaids". Then as the shock and pain subsided he picked up his litter and said in unmistakeable translation "You must take care of the earth or you die!" And off he ran in his rubber thongs in search of a watermelon to quench our thirst. And, we broke it up devouring every chunk of the delicious red meat with its juice cleaning our sweaty faces. We took our little friend home to his dirt floor hut where there was no sign of adults - only kids working around the place. We decided to pay him about $10 in Reals for his work - not for the kindness - but pay for real work! Then he got back in our van and insisted on leading us out of the area as we were very disoriented and lost by the time we arrived at his home. He asked us to stop at a nice little home on the main road where we met his proud grandpa. And, back to the Santa Luzia hotel we went with pounds of beautiful crystals with special healing powers from Brazil.
Area Research Insights: Chupa chupa experiences are very real, true, and frightening to those who have experienced the phenomenon in this area of Brazil. There may be some truth to crystal deposits being of interest to alien species. Brazilian researchers such as Prof. Hulvio are very serious about their research, employ many techniques, such as colored modeling clay, to allow witnesses more means to describe what they have seen. UFO phenomenon Research is acceptable by the scientific and educational community in Brazil. There is some evidence obvious to us that researchers within the country do no share, work, or communicate to any great extent with each other. Some do not even know the leading researchers in the next nearest city! And, not a real problem since we identified the situation early, but men will address men and not the women who have asked the questions - a trait of Brazilian culture? And, either the little boy was an apparition or some body is teaching these kids to take care of Mother Earth and what a refreshing thought this is for the country that is blessed with a great amount of the world's vital rainforests!
21 Jan: Back to the Belo Horizonte airport and a flight to Brasilia was the main order of the day. It was a short flight and we were soon arriving and met by Maria, a member of a metaphysical and UFO spiritual group in that area. She accompanied us to our hotel in the center of the city, much above our meager low budget. That evening we spent with her group at a lovely home on the outskirts. Much spiritual information was shared there and many new friends made.
22 Jan: We checked out of the sort of nice but expensive hotel in Brasilia and left for the village of Paraiso, known as the Sedona of Brazil because of its both positive and negative energy vortexes. We arrived at the most charming of all our Brazilian accommodations - a little mom and pop of whatever filled of love in every board and nail type motel cabins. Every room opened out onto a tiny veranda with an incredible view of the sky and landscape. As expected, access was by tiny dirt road, and the people who greeted us became family immediately. In every room was a small crystal in an obscure place that was not noticed until the second day. It had a job to do and it did it would be the belief of some people of the area. We learned from Angela, an English teacher in the town, that that evening there was a town meeting in which we were expected to share our information in return for theirs. No problem because this was exactly what we had journeyed to Brazil for.
Well, sometime during the eventful day we found a farmer from a large fazenda two villages away who was compelled to come there and wait at the spot for some unknown reason to him. And, he had an experience to relate to us. Then there was Christian accomanied by the UFO researcher from Sao Paulo, his professor, and they had come to the area because of a persistent urge to be in that place at that particular point in time. Christian had another interesting story to relate to us. It seems, as his sources told him, that a US Air Force C130 had landed at the Brasilia airport on January 10th loaded with high tech surveillance equipment including electro magnetic field equipment and US personnel and all had been transported to the National Park area very near Paraiso, the village where we were located for two nights. Interesting? Yes, we thought so, as the guise was to build a hydro electric dam in the area. And the area of that forest had just been closed to the public. Now, in that forest is a suspected static dimensional portal through which many UFOs and other anomalous objects appear - just ask anyone in the village. There will be more stories and information later in our newsletter as we have time to write it - we wanted to put some sort of report out to you ASAP.
That evening after talking with the group a message was handed to us that high level Brazilian government officials requested the honor of our presence at a local restaurant. We thought we were being nicely thrown out of the country. When we arrived two women senators and the town mayor came over to our table and the two women wanted desperately to know everything we knew about the UFO phenomena in Brazil. Oh my god - what an opportunity. There is much more to this story also.
23 Jan: The next day we decided to visit the National Forest - especially the closed area. We did not get in as our contact who had the power of entrance did not show up.
There was a stone formation located at the edge of the national park which we visited which caused strange sensations among our expedition members. It had the effect of maybe, Stonehenge? And, one member, who was an experiencer said it was definitely a part of Atlantis to which Angela, our interpreter and guide, answered - "Yes - you are right!"
That evening, a group had gathered at Angela's place, to ask more questions and to share much more information with our group. Many of them had gotten ET information from their contacts that they wised to share with us. This sharing is a vital part of the job that is ours throughout the world. Somehow we are supposed to be a catalyst between the experiencers who are getting information.
Area Research Insights: More confirmation that Atlantis was not just a figment of the mind of Plato and that dimensional portals or gateways to multi parallel or otherwise co-dimensions do exist would be two insights gained from the Belo Horizonte area. And some more would be that the ET messages are reaching possibly around the world through the chosen contactees listening and quietly but sincerely spreading them, energy vortexes are probably found in many strategic locations on Mother Earth and we need to sensitize ourselves to the positive and negative energy provided in them, and that high level Brazilian government officials are a few steps ahead of our congress in opening their minds to the ET presence and the survival status of our planet. Last but not least why is our government interested in dimensional portals? Are they attempting to set up some sort of star war defense against alien or dimensional travelers coming through the openings to multi dimensions? Is our country considering all the visitors the enemy because some of them may enlighten us to the truths of our existence here on this planet as a 3 dimensional vibrational species? Maybe our visit to this are has brought more questions than answers!
24 - 25 Jan: Today we must travel back to Brasilia in order to begin the arduous flight through Sao Paulo to Cuiaba, located on the border of Bolivia, which arrives at 1:30 am the 25th. And when we reached there we found a group of at least 6 guys, ages 19 to 24, waiting for us. A delightful group of serious researchers, who were so apprehensive of not doing the proper job for us, remained so quiet we thought maybe there was some reluctance to share information. WRONG!
These guys took off from their part time work to support college in order to all meet us at the airport as a group. And, they stayed with us the entire time we were in that area. The farm or fazenda they had chosen as our accommodation for one night was excellent and there was virtually no chance that we would have ever found the place on our own. And in return we introduced them to our aggressive, by Brazilian standards, form of research. Drive up to a farm in a remote location, all of us pile out of the Kombi and go to the door of the unfortunate people being accosted by crazy American UFO researchers, and start asking a thousand questions: Have you seen strange lights in the sky is the first one. And guess what? It works! They are so kind and gratious and somehow have an inner knowing that we just want the information to share with the world. Must cut is short here and much more will be in the newsletter describing this research and written by the other expedition members.
There is one amazing story we witnessed from one of this team of college boys - from the oldest who is a student, at the university, in parapsychology, and who has taught himself not to feel pain and to control blood flow. A couple of our group had to leave the room, but for those of us who watched it was great! He pinched up a large area of his forearm much and stuck a large upholstery type sewing needle through it all and had to really put the power behind it to get it to poke through and out the other side - no pain and no blood flow and there was no wound visible after 15 minutes. Then he ask us to tape his eylids shut, put any blinder we wanted on him - and we chose one given to us by the airlines that allows you to sleep aboard. Then we picked objects: All sorts of stuff including a pair of sunglasses and last a large crystal - all laid out in linear fashion. He walked a straight line carefully stepping over and totally clear of each object and moving the palm of his right hand over the object as he stepped over it. Then as he moved his hand behind him he correctly identified each object with the exception of the crystal. He said he could not get a feel for that object because of its energy - really fascinating.
Area Research Insights: Wouldn't the world be better off if we all developed the about 90 % of our brains that remains unused and through appropriate training such as Silva Mind Control courses this is very possible as just demonstrated. Crystals do have special energies, the world's computers run on crystals, and we should study the possible uses of them more thoroughly as we did many years ago with the homemade crystal radios. The trust of these people in the rural areas of Brazil is fascinating. Do they have a 6th sense or knowing whom they trust and who is planning to do them harm? Isn't it amazing that a young group of college kids are into UFO research and getting out there attempting to find the truth behind the phenomena?
26 Jan: We left for the Sao Paulo airline hub connection again and on to our new destination of Fortaleaza, arriving very tired on the 27th. This city is There we were met by a very nice lady named Ignes who had another group lined up with us expecting to share information. We also met the researchers who recently discovered the new dimensional portal at Baturite about 1 1/2 hours down the road. We checked into our tiny hotel complete with no hot water - the temperature is so hot people are supposed to love cool water showers. Fortaleaza is on the Northeastern coast of Brazil which is getting pretty close to the equator meaning the weather gets much warmer and more constant year round.
27 Jan: We spent the day with the researcher, Jose Agrobar, of the Baturite portal discovery. He took us to that location a couple of hours away from Fortaleza and we had a very eventful day.
28 Jan: We spent the day with Agrobar at his huge home in the city near the airport. His wife and maids had a delicious vegetarian lunch prepared for us. We viewed his video tapes most of the day and did we ever see tangible evidence. Agrobar, as his friends call him, is a mathematics professor at the local university, and is also an engineer. He gets telepathic messages which tell him where to go and when to film events. One day he was told to go to a spot in Baturite as were two other contactees. When he arrived there were hundreds of people there to witness the event of the dancing sun, clouds splitting into two jagged puzzle pieces, a very dark triangular hole appearing in the crack between the clouds through which appeared white saucers which rapidly flew across the sky. This was all in just a few frames of the high speed film and not visible to the human eye. What was visible to the watching crowd was an apparition of the Virgin Mary to which they were fervently praying. But what was filmed and visible only when the footage was shown segment by segment was the definite dimensional portal through which came the UFOs into our 3 D world - very interesting. I know people who would literally do anything for that footage and so does he. So, none of the Brazilian researchers know that he has the footage. He did tell me it was okay to use this story giving him and Jorge Nobrega credit for their research.
Agrobar also show us videotape of ghostly figures but with definite formations which resemble the high forehead common alien types seen by many experiencers. And he also had analyzed footage from airplane crashes in TV news coverage which, when slowed down frame by frame, shows UFO collisions.
29 Jan: Shopping and a visit with Reginaldo de Athayde were the main events of the day. He is a researcher in the area, whose research techniques and tools are much like those of Prof. Hulvio in Belo Horizonte. He has years of research videos, tapes, models, and other tangible material that would fill a UFO library if such existed.
Area Research Insights: Dimensional Portals can be filmed although not seen by the naked eye. Some channeled messages turn out to be precognizance of the events to happen so are the supposedly ET channeled prophecies for the planet to be totally ignored and if not, what should we do about such messages? Brazilian Researchers are closely guarding their research from fellow researchers who may claim the discoveries. Some older researchers have no interest in research findings from other countries - are totally centered on their own research.
30 Jan: Today we fly to the last city on our itinerary, Belem, which is in the state of Para and located in northernmost Brazil on the mouth of the Amazon. We have been told that this is our hottest destination - not in UFO activity but in temperature! A few months ago we received in our office a large rainforest green envelope with a portion of it covered in the most beautiful Brazilian stamps - couldn't wait to open it. And, inside was the story of a landing of a craft and the abduction of the church sexton (caretaker), Alredo Mendes. Investigator / Contactee Jose Luis Martin Filho had written the story including several nice photos.
Jose Luis met us at the airport upon our arrival. What a nice guy! He led us to our quaint little Belem hotel in the heart of the city and told us that a friend of his had planned dinner for us that evening. Little did we suspect that this friend, Lucia Viveiros, would be an architect and engineer with 20 year background as a member of the Camara dos Deputados in Brasilia - and Lucia was one of the first women ever to serve in the Brazilian government! And, when we arrived at her beautiful penthouse overlooking the city of Belem complete with her own rooftop swimming pool we found a group of very high level people interested and involved in UFO research. We also did not suspect that the reporter who interview 3 of us and the photographer who took our photo would publish a large article in the next day edition of the largest paper in the Amazonia region, O Liberal. We imposed on the nice lady and her household staff in order to broadcast 3 hours with Jeff Rense that evening, midnight to 3 am local time, from that beautiful penthouse by telephone. And, at 3am Lucia and her 83 year old mother were still playing hostess to us as we ended the program with physicist and engineer Silvio explaining his work with interviewing the spirits that take over the bodies of trance dancers - spirits that turned out to be ETs! 31 Jan: We spend the day before going back to the airport for our 2:30 am departure interviewing people in the city, visiting the catholic church, and oh yes, our second day with Alfredo Mendes, the contactee for which the craft landed, a perfect example of a huge hunk of pure unconditional love. Not one of us had any doubt that Alfredo was in contact with the best of the alien race and that he was taking seriously and living the advice they were giving him. That advice included love for fellow man, peaceful harmony, and taking care of the environment.
That evening we were led far out into the jungle on the tiny muddy roads to a home with a dock that reach out over the Amazon. There we sat together eating the picnic supper our hosts have brought for us and watching the stars and satellites overhead savouring the very last moment before rushing to the airport to catch our flight to Miami via Brasilia - a flight that, involving airport layovers, went into 24 hours of traveling.
Area Research Insights: Unconditional love is perhaps the greatest attribute of the Christ Consciousness possible for mankind. There are various aliens claiming sections of the earth with its inhabitants for their own uses. Have we been farmed out to the various factions possibly involved in the gallactic dimensional battles as conquered territory? Has crime and violence destroyed the trust and love for one another of the American people? A positive attitude greatly enhances daily life. Anything is possible with a total functional family such as this primary expedition gathered for the Brazil Expedition of January 1998.
1 Feb: We arrived Miami after 10 pm that evening and went to our hotel near the airport to rest before breakfast the next morning with Mary Margaret Zimmer's Miami MUFON group to share our short expedition recap.
2 Feb: Following the breakfast at a local Cuban restaurant we left in small groups for the airport according to various departure times. The last two of us decided to stand by for an earlier flight, just on a whim, and had we not done so we would have been there for another day. The airport was closed about the time of our scheduled departure because of a large storm with tornadoes in the area. So, our guides were still with us. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that someone a little bigger than us and of a little higher intelligence was taking care of our every need and best interests this entire expedition!
